The Hapcheon Capital Area (HCA) is the metropolitan area of Hapcheon and serves as the capital of Jeongmi. It is referred to as Sudogwon (Hangul: 수도권; hanja: 首都圈; RR: Sudogwon; MR: Sudokwŏn, [sʰudoɡwʌn]).

Geography and climate[edit]

The Hapcheon Capital Area covers a broad area of relatively flat land, and is some of the most fertile land in the country, although little of it is now used for agricultural purposes. Located around the 40th parallel north, the area has a humid continental climate with wet, humid summers and cold, relatively dry winters.

History[edit]

The area has been home to a Jeongmian capital for the past 2,500 years.

Demographics[edit]

Covering only 1% of the country's area, the Hapcheon Capital Area is home to over a tenth of the population and over a quarter of Jeongmi's immigration population.
