Yeongja (字瑛, Jeongmian: 자영) is an alphabetic writing system used to write a number of languages native to the continent of Yeongju. It is the designated national script in various Hachuabshi, Wawa, Tahkahtic, Mnishalic, Biyatic, Iyokic, Mishasipoknian, Elakomkwikan, and Ipalic-speaking countries in the Thunderbird Bay region, West Yeongju, Central Yeongju, and East Yeongju, as well as many minority languages in those regions. The most widely-spoken languages using Yeongja include Xʷəlšucid, Iyokan, and Wawa.
Yeongja was first developed in Gitsan around 925 CE from Cheonjean characters, before spreading across the Thunderbird Bay region and into central Yeongju. (Full article...)
